![]() ![]() I expect lower maintenance costs coupled with better fuel efficiency as factors in proving it as the better buy on the long run. I do believe the Kia will eventually be the superior purchase in terms of cost per mile traveled. This is a function of 1) higher cost for the Kia due to it being a larger vehicle and a hybrid, 2) higher gas expenses throughout 2022, notably along the west coast during our summer road trip, and 3) the Nissan still has more miles under it than the Kia. My most interesting finding is the cost per mile traveled is still better for the Nissan than the Kia. I have been recording everything from gas fill-ups to maintenance costs and anything else relevant to the health of my vehicles. I now own two new vehicles, a 2021 Nissan Rogue purchased in January 2021 and a 2022 Kia Sorento hybrid purchased in April 2022. ![]() This is my 2022 edition of my vehicle dashboard, featuring key metrics I have been tracking since the beginning of 2021.
